It is perfectly situated near to the main road for getting out and about but far enough away that you hear nothing but the wind in the trees and the birds singing. The cottage has been beautifully restored to a good standard making your stay comfortable. With the multi-fuel burner in the living area and the underfloor heating, you can be toasty warm on those cold winters’ evenings and in the summer you can sit out on the patio offering generous views and access to the paddock. The cottage was once a thriving gunpowder works dating back to 1798 and part of Low Wood Mill gunpowder works located on the estuary with access to the sea, now only the cottages and the clock tower survives today as a reminder of the past. Beach 5 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 530 yards.

The location was beautiful and the cottage was just the right size for us as a couple and our dog Cooper! So cosy and lovely… and having walks right on the doorstep was ideal… Having the enclosed garden was definitely beneficial and the neighbours / locals were very friendly… Our dog can sometimes be anxious in new places but he was very happy and relaxed here x

We liked the rural location and the enclosed garden and access to the paddock were very helpful with our dog. The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the milk, tea, coffee, sugar and delicious biscuits.

This little cottage is fabulous. Under floor heating, open fire, ample kitchen facilities, fluffy towels… it had everything. The little touches left for us were brilliant. Parking right outside. A small quiet street with easy links to the rest of the lakes. Perfect for us
