We found it to be awfully dark in all the rooms, even during the day. The shower was very temperamental, either it was boiling hot or freezing cold and it also wasn't high enough for us, I couldn't get my head underneath the shower head. Also, I couldn't find a brush set to clean the fire out when I used it. The hot tub was lovely though, a luxury. These are only tiny little gripes that can be easily resolved, our overall stay was great, lovely and quiet.

The views are stunning and we miss them already. It’s the perfect little base to visit so many places. There’s plenty to door close to home and even more if you’re willing to travel a little further. The owners keep in touch without being overbearing, just the perfect level of contact so that you know they’re there if you need anything at all and yet at the same time you feel completely alone. It really was the perfect get away for us and we would love to come back some time.

The only sound you hear is birdsong. Equipped with everything you need. The log burners were very welcome on the cold rainy days. Dark skys in the hot tub are an absolute must!
