Beachcombers is a well-regarded cottage in Cornwall, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location for exploring the North Cornish coast. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's suitability as a holiday base. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The property consistently receives compliments for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its spotless condition. One review mentioned leaves and branches in the garden upon arrival, but this seems to be an isolated incident.
The location is generally praised for its proximity to lovely beaches and local amenities, though a few guests noted the necessity of a car due to the lack of pedestrian footpaths and distance from certain attractions.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the property homely, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, one review mentioned high cupboards that could be inconvenient for shorter guests, slightly impacting the comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped. Some reviews, however, point out issues with hot water, a sticking front door, and some non-functional items, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

A car is necessary and this is not clear on the list. The property is quite near St Merryn village and whilst it's within walking distance (allowing for fitness) there is no pedestrian footpath, hence, a car is again necessary. The property itself was very good.

Thereâs a step in the shed apparently, but not sure how safe this fix is? The tv in the conservatory didnât work, thereâs no remote for the tv in the twin room, the kitchen sink drain smells terrible. The cupboard door in the conservatory comes off if you catch it (my dog caught his bottom on it so I had to try to fix the already broken hinge). The loo seat is loose, tried to fix this too but think it needs replacing. Then thereâs the front door. The moment there is any warm/sunny weather it sticks to the point it feels like itâs going to completely come off. Overall it just feels a little unloved, which is a shame as itâs ideally positioned for the gorgeous north Cornish coast. So whilst we enjoyed our stay we wouldnât return to this property.
