About this property

Orchard House is a spacious detached cottage situated in the tranquil Cotswold village of Upper Oddington.

It is just moments from both the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, Fox Inn, and fashionable Daylesford Organic shop, spa & restaurant.

The cottage beautifully combines historic honey coloured stone, flagstone floors and wood beams with stylish contemporary furnishings and decor.

Downstairs, three historic cottages have been combined into one long, light, and spacious set of living spaces.

Cooks and entertainers should adore the magnificent and well-equipped kitchen which, with its high ceilings, large cooking range and classic farmhouse dining table, is the heart of this home. The living room, with two large, comfortable sofas, and log burner is ideal for friends and family to relax together after a ling country walk or meal. Upstairs there are three bedrooms ( one king-size double, one king-size double or twin, and one set twin), as well as two stylish bathrooms ( both with power showers, WCs, and washbasins, and one also offering a bath).

There is also a downstairs cloakroom. To the rear there is a large, secluded garden with patio and small stream.

To the front there is ample off-street parking.

The cottage itself is situated onoff a quiet lane. Upper Oddington is a characterful village situated in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It is surrounded by countryside, offering the opportunity for numerous walks.

The village has two pubs, including the award-winning Fox Inn, and an 11th century church ( St Nicholas) with it's medieval last judgement fresco.

The charming Cotswold villages of Broadway, Burford, Chipping Campden, and Bourton-on-the-Water are all close by. Stratford, Oxford, and Cheltenham are also easy to visit.

Orchard House is an award-winning cottage which has been selected for features in the national press on many occasions.

We hope that it is the perfect home whilst you explore this beautiful area of the Cotswolds.

Oddington, Gloucestershire is a short drive away from Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds and originally an Iron Age Fort. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly Farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antique shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of Stow, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close to the town.

It’s larger than you would think, and even better than the photos. There is plenty of space to spread out, we were celebrating a significant Birthday for my Father and had family members and friends join. I also ‘worked from home’ for a couple of days with Teams meetings most of the day and WiFi connection was very good. It’s a lovely village, with footpaths close by. We had a great meal at the pub next door and also went into Stow which is as good as ever. Thank you for a great stay.

Few little things such as not much toilet paper and only two logs were left for a whole weeks stay and one wouldn’t even fit on the fire. Would have expected more for in winter.

We left feeling relaxed and energised. Orchard House delivered on all levels, we’ve never felt more at home. We took advantage of, “The Horse and Groom”, being on our doorstep - everyone was so friendly and the food was very good. Many thanks for the generous, “Welcome Gifts”, which were much appreciated. We love the Cotswolds and couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Many thanks !
