"An excellent cottage in a beautiful location. Fab if the weather is good, could be a bit bleak if very poor weather. Stunning views. Just two fields to cross to get to the excellent Kilpeck Inn, with great food."

"This was our second stay at Crooked Barn and just as good as last year. The position is wonderful - views for miles. There is all we need to enjoy a good weeks holiday, except the weather which we can't blame on Crooked Barn! The Barn is very comfortable, well furnished and equiped, a real home from home. Our dogs love it too, the freedom of the large garden and being able to stand at the front entrance (all glass) and watch the world passing by in the distance. We would recommend the Barn to anyone wishing for a quiet break but within distance of lots to see and do."

"A beautiful barn conversion in an lovely part of the country. So peaceful with amazing views. Barn itself extremely well equipped and very clean. Great garden which would be further beneficial if it was separated from the neighbours garden as could be a potential problem if you take a dog ( or two large ones in our case). The reason being because dogs are able to get into neighbours area of garden and right around to the back of their barn etc so extra caution is needed particularly when they have the door open in warm weather. This could be further aggravated if they also gave a dog. We were fortunate as the couple in the barn next door while we were there didn't have a dog with them. However we had to be vigilant at all times and it was not possible to just leave the door open for our dogs to wander in and out by themselves. We had to stay with the dogs in the garden at all times as neighbours may not even like dogs etc. this problem could be do easily rectified with a small fence and a gate to part the garden off. We would stay there again but only if this problem was sorted. However overall a really pleasant stay in a very beautiful place."

"Fabulous cottage in a superb location."

"Brilliant, comfortble location for touring the area. The only downside for us was the lack of WiFi which seems to be a common problem in the area. At the end of ourstay we discovered free Wi Fi was available at the village pub. We have since left that comment for future guests. Couldn't fault the Barn as it had everything for a trouble free vacation. Would recommend to others.Jan Devey, Hadleigh, Suffolk "

"We loved the cottage itself and the views were fabulous. However we found the location a bit more remote than we had imagined and were disappointed that many of the footpaths were blocked or inaccessible. "

"This is a superb barn conversion perched right on the top of a hill with fantastic views all round, very well equipped. It also has the considerable advantage of a really good pub (The Three Horseshoes), only a few miles away which serves excellent food. July 2011. "
    Previous guest
"A delightful barn conversion, located nicely off the beaten track, but within a (steep) walking distance of the local pub. Stunning views even in poor weather. July 2011."

"S16882 is an excellant holiday property, however due to its location above Kilpeck village one must be prepared to use their own car whenever they leave to go shopping, visiting a restaurant or pub etc. S16882 is a superb barn conversion, very spacious, well equipped and clean with fantastic views of the countryside and very large lawned gardens. June 2011."

"I think the Barn was actually undersold, there was more equipment/extras provided than was expected i.e torches, cafetiere, DAB radio and clock Alarm etc. Dec 2010."

"Accomodation was well equipped to a high standard. Our family includes a 2 year old and a 3 month year old - both were catered for and I can vouch the accomodation is ’child friendly’. Magnificent views of surrounding country side. Nov 2010."
