    Roy – 23 Sep 2018
"A lovely situation and very pretty cottage but the furnishings were rather tired particularly the lounge and not as shown in the photos ( the lounge) which showed a paler coloured suite and a rug on the floor. However we did enjoy our stay."
    Lesley – 11 Sep 2018
"Although enjoyed our break at S16902 a little disappointed in the lack of decent sized freezer as going on a self catering holiday needed a bigger freezer than was on offer. Also the living room is looking very tired and doesn't seem to have been decorated in some years (I'm a returning visitor over many years). Had very good weather which was a bonus and of course access to the estate is wonderful."
    Helena – 1 Sep 2018
"We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at S16902. Beds were good and it was clean and well equipped. A lovely cake and bottle of wine was left to welcome us.Beware though of low ceilings in the bedrooms and that the bathroom is downstairs if you need to get up in the night. The cottage is on its own in the countryside which we liked but you do need a car to go anywhere."
    Jenny – 14 Jul 2018
"This is an ideal base for exploring the area. The cottage is cosy, immaculately clean and with very comfortable beds. This is an historic property and it has lovely original windows, and be careful of the low beams in the bedrooms. From this property you can see for miles, and watch the beautiful sunsets from the garden. And it is so quiet! The small road passing by the cottage has infrequent traffic (mainly tractors), and for much of the time there is total silence. There is a truly excellent farm shop a two-minute drive away, lovely pubs within 3-10 minute drive, and Hereford is an easy 15 minute drive. An ideal escape to the countryside yet with amenities within easy reach. Perfect!"
    Valerie – 6 Jul 2018
"Very pretty cottage, well equipped and in fantastic dog walking location with access to private parkland from the garden gate. Sadly, the sitting room furniture has been changed since the photograph marketing the property was taken and is now more functional than the original pretty and stylish ambience. Not so welcoming. Whilst the slightly shabby chic decor suits the cottage it is probably due redecoration.None of the criticisms spoilt our holiday which was fantastic. It could just have been better with the reinstatement of the original furnishings and floor covering and some redecoration."
    Victoria – 3 Jun 2018
"We had a very pleasant stay at this well equipped cottage. This part of Herefordshire is very peaceful and beautiful and there are several walks to be enjoyed around the owners estate lands. Milk, wine and a cake was left for us as a welcome gift which we enjoyed."
    Keith – 24 May 2018
"The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, but it was on a road which was busy at certain times of the day, so quite noisy. As it was on a corner, it was quite difficult to come out of the drive as we couldn't see traffic coming from the left - perhaps a mirror opposite the gateway would be helpful?"
    Regina – 21 Apr 2018
"Had a brilliant time. Local villages superb. Lodge brilliant home from home. Walks excellent dog friendly such a bonus. My dog loved it. Treat upon arrival to die for. We are already planning our return"
    David – 16 Apr 2018
"Whilst we had a lovely time at S16902, it could have been better. We recognise that with a property of this age, it may be difficult or impossible to fit double glazing, but the lack of it meant that a cold draft stopped you from sitting too long at the kitchen/dining room bay window and the traffic noise woke you up at 5:30 in the morning. The Kitchen and Bathroom have been updated and are well equipped but the other rooms could do with modernising/redecorating. Several of the drawers in bedside tables were difficult to open or handles missing/broken. The property was cold when we arrived as the heating had been set on a timer and hadn't been on for a while. It would be more welcoming for guests if it had been left on. For those of you who are older and need the loo in the night, it's a bit of a walk as you'll have to go downstairs, through the kitchen and Utility Room and into the bathroom extension. Unfortunately we were disturbed during the week by an estate groundsman coming to check the guttering (this could have been done on handover day) and also by BT ringing the payphone in the hall (yes there is a payphone!) a couple of times and trying to sell us broadband for the property! Maybe the property should be ex-directory no calls to avoid disturbing guests. One great thing we enjoyed was the open fire. Very cosy and relaxing."
    Joy – 4 Jan 2018
"Lots of character, spacious kitchen, good utility area, safe garden and walks on the estate for dogs and beautiful views. Heating system and open fire ensured the cottage was warm, although the upstairs windows in winter were drafty at night."
