I gave myself a pressie of a DIY retreat and wanted to find a classic cottage in beautiful gothic countryside but with some human beings close by. This was the perfect place. The surrounding countryside was perfect for bike rides and long walks from the cottage door. Bellingham is close by with shops and a cracking fruit and veg shop  I loved being ensconsed in the living room with a book and a real fire. Frosty nights with a full moon were the icing on the cake. The hosts made me feel comfy and welcomed. It was a delicious place for me 

We had such a comfortable stay at Annie's Cottage. Warm, cosy, home from home. The hosts were perfect and full of local knowledge and help if needed. The pub opposite is small, friendly and the food is excellent. Greenhaugh has some beautiful walks. Kielder Water and Bellingham are not far away and great to explore. Can't rate our stay high enough. Thank you!

From the off we were made very welcome by the owner, who had fired up the log burning stove ahead of our coming. Appreciated, as a chilly weekend, but the storeage heaters kep us warm. Very comfy double and well equipped kitchen. Nice little dining room with skylight. Lovely pub directly opposite, amazing for such a small village. We didnt get to star gaze because of the weather but Greenhaugh is a lovely place to do as remote, with dark skies. And just so lovely and quiet.
