Catch the shuttle bus to Waterhead Pier for waterside walks or cruises on Lake Windermere, or venture to the Stock Ghyll Force waterfall, Ambleside Roman Fort and Stagshaw Gardens, all within 1.5 miles. In the nearby area, you can also go mountain biking, wild swimming, climbing, canyoning, ridge scrambling and more.

On the first floor is a pretty, king-size bedroom, with a TV and free-standing wardrobe, that enjoys beautiful views over the village and fells. Another flight of stairs leads you to the top floor of the cottage and two further bedrooms, both with areas of sloping ceiling: a light, bright twin to the rear, and a pretty double from which you'll have one of the best views in Ambleside.
