This charming detached ’chocolate box’ cottage sits on the edge of the hamlet of Aydon, two miles north of the picture-postcard village of Corbridge. A quintessential rural retreat, it enjoys a delightful flower garden to the front, and an extensive lawn and superb open aspect to the rear. The garden attracts a great variety of birds and picturesque Aydon Castle is less than a mile’s walk across fields. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Peaceful location, beautiful gardens with a whole variety of butterflies with nice views, nice and dark which is ideal for viewing the night sky. Tv had all the popular apps installed such as Netflix, iPlayer ,ITV X. Weather was really hot but the thick walls of the cottage kept the rooms nice and cool. Check out Corbridge - a lovely quaint town, plenty of shops in nearby Hexham .

Very nice cottage with a beautiful garden and a fabulous view from te dining room. Quiet area, just a lot of birds singing and flying around. The landscape of Northumberland is spacious and there is so much to do: visit nice villages (Corbridge, Hexham, Durham), plenty of walks (nearby to Aydon Castle, but also Kielder Forest, Allen Banks and Staward Gorge), Cragside and Wallington, etc.

Charming cottage in a quiet picturesque village. Aydon Cottage is quite spacious with gorgeous enclosed gardens. The view from the dining room is idyllic. The cottage is ideally located for visiting the many heritage sites and local towns in this part of Northumberland or for just walking locally.
