On sunny days, guests can enjoy sitting out in the courtyard garden, complete with table and chairs, or continue through the gate 50 yards to reach the famous Allonby Beach. After a long stroll along the shore, you can throw a couple of logs on the wood burner and put your feet up in front of the TV, while enjoying a wide range of movies and box-sets courtesy of Netflix, included at no extra charge. Another great holiday at Porthole Cottage, lovely friendly people at the pub across the road and also driftwood cafe. Fantastic location for the beach if you have dogs and Keswick is always a must visit. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and visit.

Spending a week in Allonby in the wonderful Porthole cottage was worth the wait.Situated right next to the sea with walking distance to the local ameneties and childrens play area next to us.Delightful cottage with spacious bathroom and seperate shower.2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom with ample of space.Immaculate and cean when we arrived.Open plan kitchen and living room is quite spacious and our dogs were more than welcome.Lovely welcome pack of wine and biscuits were a nice touch.Log burner for the colder nights is a welcome sight.it really is a home from home and we highly recommend it.
