The property is located on a working farm and as such there may occasional minor noise disturbances.. These quaint hideaways have everything you need for a couple’s retreat. Enjoy the outdoor seating areas in spring and summer, with dining areas surrounded by trees and fields. If you are looking to visit in the cooler months, you can snuggle up infront of the cosy wood burner. Get comfy in the super kingsize bed, complete with luxurious mattress and linen. The properties offer well-equipped, fitted kitchens, ideal if you don’t fancy heading out for dinner in one of the nearby pubs or delightful restaurants. In the pretty village of Middleton-by-Wirksworth, close to the High Peak Trail and near to Wirksworth, Cromford, Matlock, Matlock Bath and Carsington Water, the location is second to none! There are also many fantastic walks available direct from the door for those who enjoy exploring on foot. Cromford nestles in the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site and is home to the Arkwright Museum. On site there is a wonderful shopping outlet as well as the working mills showing how the textiles were produced years ago. A couple of miles away you will discover Carsington Water offering watersports and cycle hire as well as an excellent visitors centre with a restaurant and coffee shop. Heritage enthusiasts will enjoy the Ecclesbourne Valley railways in nearby Wirksworth, and the fabulous Tramway Museum in Crich along the valley. Climbers are spoilt for choice with the Gritstone Black Rocks a short walk away, and the superb limestone crags nearby to explore. Let’s not forget the amazing stately homes and gardens dotted around this beautiful area to explore, such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall to name but a few. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub 500 yards.
