Climb the stairs to reach another family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a super-king-size zip and link and a single room. On the second floor is the double bedroom with river glimpses and a TV. Stroll along the esplanade to reach the historical Whitehouse Quay and Fowey Ferry Landing (less than 0.5 miles) – from here you can catch the boat to the small village of Polruan (1 mile) and follow the coastal path to the caine-friendly National Trust Lantic Bay (2 miles). Continue past the ferry landing to reach Readymoney Beach and the 1530s St Catherine’s Castle (both 0.5 miles).
