4 Bed Cottage in Newquay

About this property

Round up all your favourite people for a Cornish getaway at this welcoming home, tucked away on a family-friendly resort just 7 miles outside the seaside town of Newquay. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms, it's ideal for large families or groups of friends who are looking for a fun-filled base to call home while they discover the Cornwall coast together. Chase the waves at Mawgan Porth (5.1 miles) or Watergate Bay (7 miles), a sweep of golden sand that's a firm favourite with families, or head to the legendary surf spot of Fistral (8.5 miles) to pull on a wetsuit and paddle out to catch a wave. Little ones will love spending a day at Lappa Valley (5 miles), where they can ride the narrow-gauge steam train or mess about on the boating lake. Or explore the dramatic coastline at the National Trust's Carnewas at Bedruthan (10 miles), where the cliff-top trails overlook towering rock stacks.

Step inside and you'll find the whole ground floor given over to one bright, open-plan space where the kitchen, living and dining areas flow together. Kick back on the sofa with a good book, or get everyone together in front of the Smart TV for film night. Cook up a feast in the kitchen area and share a casual dinner at the lovely dining table. A beautiful double bedroom and a shower room round off the ground-floor layout. Head upstairs and you’ll discover three more bedrooms – one delightful king-size with its own Juliet balcony and an en-suite shower room, as well as a 4ft double and a handy twin. A chic family bathroom with a corner bath completes the layout. In the morning, kick off your day with a workout in the resort’s shared gym.

Out in the garden, a patio with a picnic bench is ready to host lazy lunches and long summer suppers in the open air. The real draw, though, lies just beyond your holiday home: the resort's impressive range of shared facilities. Take a dip in the indoor and outdoor pools, let the kids run wild in the soft play area, or arrange a friendly tournament at the tennis courts. Please note that some facilities are seasonal. Shared parking for two cars is within 20 metres of the property.
