The famous S83989 are on the doorstep and here you can stroll down the River Wharfe to Burnsall which is home to a 12th-century public house. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this cottage is in an idyllic location for exploring the countryside and the pretty villages of Upper Wharfedale. The charming market town of Grassington with its cobbled square and a selection of individual shops, pubs and restaurants is within a 15-minute walk. In summer it hosts an Arts Festival which includes famous names and covers a wide range of tastes from poetry, art and different types of music, and during December it hosts the annual Dickensian Festival. The market town of Skipton is just over 7 miles away and is home to one of the most complete and best preserved medieval castles in England. During the summer months you can take a boat trip on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal or wander round the market and enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
