"Lovely weekend in this great cottage. The cottage has everything you need but our only complaint was the uncomfortable sofas which are well worn. The cottage looks out onto the river with a view of pen-y-ghent which was a lovely walk ending at the pub next door. Would highly recommend the pub its food was lovely with portions on the large side! Overall a lovely cottage definitely worth a visit."

"Everything was excellent and would definitely stay there again."

"We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week at riverside cottage. The cottage was clean, abundant hot water and well heated. The location is great and you can spend ages watching the birds on the river without realising you have sat so long. We needed a quiet, restful break and that's exactly what we had. A very comfortable bed and excellent shower. If there was one criticism it would be that the two sofas were very narrow and not hugely comfortable, to make the cottage perfect I would replace them with two small squashy sofas. However we had a great stay and would return. Many thanks."

"Compact accomodation, quirky, old and characterful. Minor niggles from our week: cutlery was poor design round handles not the best to hold and folks kept turning round as not weighted correctly. No tongues for cooking breakfast....... Smell of damp in main bedroom wardrobe, didnt use it! Opposite building is being altered to live in, digger presently being used. The location is lovely, views from one side over river and hills. Parking is for one small car, a second is in the pub car park, as the property is within It. Furnishings and beds good, we had no problems but larger people would possibly struggle with sofas. The niggles didnt stop us enjoying our week and we were lucky and had sunshine for most of it. Pub next door, dog friendly and decent beer and food too."

"Great location and stunning views however it’s just a lack of comfortable seating in the lounge that really let’s this lovely little cottage down. Had to go to bed early each evening just to get comfortable. Other than that everything else was good and we had a great time visiting the local area. Put in some decent seating and this would make it very much nicer!"

    "Lovely cottage in excellent location"

"major problems with the open fire which filled the living room and upstairs with smoke resulting in the carbon monoxide alarm to set off many times. the problem was so bad that we had to stop using the open fire. We found that there was no ventilation in the property which was the root cause of the open fire problem and needs resolving . We also observed the smoke alarm had been removed in the living room which would suggest that this problem has been ongoing for some time Also found that the river side wall in the living room was continually wet, as was the wall in the small bedroom which had black mould. and confirms the lack of adequate ventilation in the property Xmas dinner was spoilt due to the lack of suitable plates , as there was only four large plates ,one of which had a large crack across it .The bathroom door was badly fitted resulting in it making a loud noise every time it opened .I would also draw your attention to the two light bulbs which blown and there was no replacements for .General cleanliness was poor, as there was an accumulation of dust, under all of the furniture .As were all the kitchen units which had an accumulation of grease on the undersides. However the pub next door was the saving grace of this poor accommodation providing excellent good food and company ."

"The cottage is set on the river which is beautiful. Really sweet. The pub next door offers good food and allows dogs in which makes a big difference when holidaying alone. Lost points due to no welcome pack so make sure you have the basic essentials with you as the nearest shop is a 4 mile drive away. The sofas are functional and I understand size restrictions but not cosy. Other than these points the cottage is perfect for a holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
