About this property

Complimentary Welcome Hamper

A complimentary welcome hamper will be awaiting you on your arrival containing milk, tea, fresh coffee, bread, butter, eggs, juice, wine and cheese, along with other essential items to prepare a light snack or breakfast. There may be some regional variations.

Apple Store at Slingsby Heights is a detached property and dates from the 19th century. It was used to store the apples from the acre of old orchard to the south of the property. It also acted as stables during the First World War for cavalry horses from the barracks in the neighbouring village of Hovingham.

The Apple Store now provides spacious accommodation for up to four people with private courtyard and ample parking. Guests have access to the 11 acres of land belonging to Slingsby Heights which include a large kitchen garden, old orchard and croquet lawn.

There are a wealth of restaurants and gastro pubs close at hand and from mid-November the village sparkles with Christmas trees.

This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It is perfect for a quiet relaxing break. The cottage sparkles and Lynn is an excellent housekeeper.
