    Mrs Pickles – 1 Jul 2019
"Surroundings were beautiful and the lodge had everything we needed. A little run down, but it was perfect. So peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely go again"
    Mr Light – 1 May 2019
" INSTANT SMILE. Chalet is well established and well used. Loved the "wardrobe"! Site was quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would be happy to return for longer. "
    Mr Goodwin – 1 Sep 2018
"Really enjoyed our stay, no problems to report."
    Mr Lewin-james – 1 Aug 2018
"located on a site of five chalets within the grounds of Carr Lodge, we found the chalet as described but in need of some TLC. The most negative I could be about the accommodation would be the bed/mattress is in need of replacement. There are no facilities on this small rural site but within the villiage, approx half a mile away, you do have a small well stocked shop/post office, a tea room, couple of pubs and a little further out a majestic Abbey/college with accessible ground with woods and lakes and a coffee shop. Whilst the roads around this site are only B roads, therefore without pavements once out the villiage, we found them to be busy during the day and into the evening and the vehicles are travelling at the speed limit. An enjoyable relaxing stay in a County of exceptional beauty interspersed with stunning villiages and market towns and infamous coastal towns and bays."

"After a lovely drive through the countryside we arrived early, Bill the owner said no worries, he showed us the cabin, very rustic with wonderful view and lovely backdrop of tree's . the yellow primula's in full flower made you smile. Bill Menzies showed us around the cabin, well appointed and stocked with enough plates etc to feed a large family. The place was cosy and warm, comfortable sitting area. for a small cabin it was well thought out and felt homely and welcoming. Bill said any problems and let me know, ok? each time you saw him he always asked if all was ok, when i had to leave a day early to take my wife to the doctors for an appointment Bill phoned us to ask how my wife was. how many owners would do that."
