Guests say

Guests generally find the cottage in Scarborough to be a cosy and comfortable base for exploring the North York Moors & Coast. The property is praised for its cleanliness, warm atmosphere, and thoughtful welcome packs. While some guests mention road noise and a need for maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Most reviewers describe the cottage as immaculately clean and spotless upon arrival. However, one review mentioning a need for a deep clean due to pet odours slightly lowers the score.

The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to Scarborough, Whitby, and local walks. Some guests note the convenience of nearby pubs. Road noise is mentioned, which slightly impacts the score.

The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of cosy beds and a warm environment. A few minor comments about the lounge fire and bed sizes do not significantly detract from the overall comfort.

While guests are satisfied with the amenities provided, there are mixed reviews regarding maintenance issues such as the lounge fire and TV remote. Due to insufficient information on the overall state of facilities, a definitive score cannot be provided.

Guests frequently express gratitude for the welcome packs, which include treats and essentials. It is noted that such gestures add to the experience, although it is understood that these are complimentary and subject to availability.

The welcome pack was a nice,a lovely little extra touch and the added games and items in the drawers for the kids was also a great little perk. We did login to the cottages WiFi which worked and gave good internet service, however if you didn’t logon I think you would struggle to get internet as without this I was struggling. The pub over the road The three Jolly Sailors, food was lovely and our dog was welcomed too, so a visit here was fully enjoyed and I definitely recommend. I think maybe check out could be extended to 11.00 am as 10.00 am seemed a struggle with the kids in tow, but that doesn’t take away what a great place it was. Thanks for your hospitality, a great break first of many.
