This superb property has been lovingly refurbished and decorated to provide quality accommodation for families and couples seeking a coastal getaway.

Located on the east side of town, just off Church Street, near the harbour, Sunshine Cottage is within easy walking distance of Whitby’s beautiful ‘old town’. A pleasant harbour-side stroll takes you directly to the historic centre and beach where you can feel the sand between your toes in no time.

This lovely cottage sleeps 4 people. To the ground floor you’ll find a reception room with TV and sofa bed to create space for an additional person. This room leads to a delightful terraced garden.

Meanwhile, the ground floor offers a luxury open plan living area with contemporary kitchen, dining area and sitting area – all in a tasteful, coastal-inspired palette of blues, creams and soft pebble greys. Take it easy on the comfortable seating and enjoy the harbour views as you unwind and plan what to see next in beautiful Whitby. The wood burning stove-style electric fire is so cosy after a bracing coastal walk.

The stylish house ground floor shower room has a real boutique hotel feel to it and includes a good size shower, basin and WC.

Moving upstairs, the bedrooms offer superb harbour views. To the first floor is a double with brass bed and varnished wooden flooring – so characterful. Tucked away in the eaves on the second floor is a charming exposed timber-beamed twin – perfect for a spot of star-gazing on a clear night!



To the outside is an enclosed lawned garden to one side plus a two-tier terraced garden with views over Whitby marina. Sit and enjoy a pot of tea (Yorkshire, of course!), watch the boats and listen to the seagulls wheeling. BBQ included.

Whitby is a gastronomic town, well-known for its fantastic fish and chips and award-winning restaurants. There’s a lively atmosphere along the waterfront as you head towards the beach - a great place for people-watching.
