    A grand, stately home set in the heart of Ormidale near the villages of Tighnabruaich and Colintraive. A real secluded, rural location with spectacular wildlife surroundings and breath-taking vistas; a step out of your comfort zone and into the impressive luxury that is Ormidale House. You will be amazed by the size of this enormous property, accommodating 33 people in 13 delightful bedrooms. All of these rooms showcase antique ornamental fixtures and grand wooden furniture and are named after Scottish islands, adding a nice personal touch to the property. The cottage has managed to retain most of its original features, whilst the large kitchen is fully-equipped with modern appliances for your convenience. Step into the grand master sitting room, which exudes quality and style with a magnificent piano catching your eye in the corner, deep sash windows drawing in plenty of light and tasteful decor brightening up the whole room. Sit in the bay window on the luxurious sofa with a good read while the kids adjourn to the sports room for some fun and games. You will be impressed by the extensive wooden table and huge open fire in the dining room, a perfect place to get the family together for dinner. The area is surrounded by stunning natural beauty, ideally located on Argyll's Secret Coast, which is made up of beautiful, wild and rugged land and sea. The whole region is steeped in Highland history and dotted with ruins, castles and ancient sites. There is plenty to see and do, from walking and cycling to golfing and windsurfing. Dunoon is the nearest town to Colintraive, which boasts the maritime gateway to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and a fabulous Victorian pier to promenade along. There are many cafes restaurants and shops to browse, along with the leisure centre and swimming pool, however, the grounds of Ormidale contain its own pool, hot tub and sauna, so you won't be short of activities right on the doorstep. Ormidale House is established in a spectacular location with extensive gardens to behold and fine luxuries to indulge in; the ideal family getaway in the Scottish Highlands.

    Colintraive is located on the west coast of the Cowal Peninsula, facing the Kyles of Bute. It is rather a small village, mainly comprising of the hotel with pub and restaurant and its small adjoining post office. The nearest town of notable size is Dunoon, which rests along the east coast of the peninsula, facing Gourock and the Firth of Clyde. Dunoon is the maritime gateway to Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, it is built around the historic Castle Mound and is famous for its large Victorian pier. It has cafes, shops and galleries to browse along with the Castle House Museum and the leisure centre. Dunoon provides a great base for exploring Argyll Forest Park and nearby Benmore Botanic Garden. The easily accessed roads and ferries also make it reachable to central Scotland.
