A warm welcome awaits you at Spey Bay Lodges. Bunnyhops is one of two lovingly restored properties, and provides good quality accommodation, equipped and furnished to ensure the most comfortable and relaxing holiday possible. The properties are just 110 yards from Spey Bay beach which is the largest shingle beach in Scotland and home to the National Whale and Dolphin Centre, which also has a café. This is a wonderful place for spotting many species of wildlife including bottlenose dolphins, minke whales, seals and osprey to name just a few. You can also take wildlife or bat watching tours, or have a fantastic dry dive experience in the largest ice house in Scotland. The Moray Firth coastline has been rated by National Geographic in the top 20 coastal destinations in the world, and it is very easy to see why. Explore the rugged and unspoilt coastline between Inverness and Peterhead which is home to a large variety of bird and beach life, from waders and curlews to dolphins and seals, all regularly seen from the beach. There are also spectacular views from the beach across the waters of the Moray Firth and on towards the hills of Caithness.
For the outdoor enthusiast this area is a paradise with watersports including kayaking, sailing and sea trips, fishing, hiking and mountain biking in forest trails. There are a large network of quiet backroads and paths which link the coastal villages, making it easy to explore the area. For walkers and hikers the Speyside Way passes close by and runs from Buckie on the shores of the Firth, all the way to Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. The Malt Whisky Trail is highly recommended where you can sample some of the finest malts this area produces. For the golfer, Spey Bay Lodges are in the perfect location, just next door to the famous Spey Bay Golf Course, where discounts are available to guests. The golf club also has a licensed bar and restaurant, which is open to non-members, 55 yards away. There is so much to see and do for all ages, you will be spoilt for choice, and for the less energetic, just sit back, relax, unwind and enjoy the ever changing landscapes. Beach 110 yards.
