Located in the beauty of the Lake District, this self-catered holiday home would make a great base for families and friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives and relax amidst delicate surroundings. Enter into the living/dining room where a woodburning stove resting within a traditional fireplace offers a sense of character and complements the contemporary furnishings; unwind on an evening within this space by flicking on the fire, which offers a gentle warmth before you tune into the Smart TV. From here, head into the kitchen, which is certain to encourage home home-cooking, with an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge and a freezer to make use of. Enjoy these lovingly prepared meals at the glass dining table, complete with seating for 6 people so everyone can come together and reflect on the holiday so far. Choose between three nicely presented bedrooms to catch your rest, including a king size with ensuite shower room, a twin and a single room, which have each been thoughtfully decorated with soft furnishings and benefit from fitted wardrobes. After a long day rambling the open countryside, relax and recover with a soothing shower in the family shower room. On a balmy day, step outside and take advantage of the wrap around garden where you can sit at the table and chairs to enjoy a cold beverage or make this a spot for alfresco dining! For those fans of Beatrix Potter, head to Bowness to discover the iconic World of Beatrix Potter to see her tales come to life or visit Hawskhead to see her former 17th-century farmhouse where she wrote most of her books. As well as a magnitude of walking opportunities up the surrounding fells, Lake Windermere boasts a number of water sport opportunities including sailing, canoeing and water-skiing. With much to see and do, a stay at Wansfell View promises a fun-filled adventure with your loved ones.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
