Dog Friendly Norfolk Holiday Cottages

With 125 miles of stunning waterways in the Broads and 90 miles of pristine unspoilt coastline, Norfolk boasts seemingly endless expanses of gorgeous landscape to relax and unwind in. The county is also bursting with excellent pet-friendly activities. With so much to do and see, our beautiful collection of dog-friendly cottages in Norfolk are a bone-a-fide gateway to an unforgettable retreat.

Dog-Friendly Holidays in Norfolk

Base yourself anywhere inside the Nofolk Coast National Landscape to be immersed in fantastic scenery and amazing wildlife. Wells-next-the-Sea offers great access to the expansive Holkham Beach, Blakeney is a great jumping off point to see the local seal colony, while seafood lovers will know Cromer for its crab. Do be sure to check for rules about what you can and can't do with your dog in this protected area.

If you're looking to stay near the heart of the broads, you can still enjoy the water! Most day boat rentals and tours allow dogs on board. This means you can cruise the gentle waterways at your own pace or relax on the top deck with a cold drink (or bowl), basking in the sights and sounds.

If you crave the buzz of the city or find yourself in need of a few mod-cons, then Norwich is the place to go. The biggest settlement in East Anglia may have medieval roots and bags of history but it is also very modern at the same time. A fantastic blend of city living and the slower pace of life found in the East of England, many of the easy-going residents and businesses are dog lovers just like you. Not only that, but Norfolk is home to some of the best dog-friendly walks in the country!

Pet-Friendly Accommodation in Norfolk

What our customers say about their holidays

  • A, S, K, C & Alfie the dog - Verified booking

We had a lovely stay and would recommend this cosy cottage. The host was more than generous and thought of everything that we would need or may have forgotten for our stay. We were staying for a week at Christmas and the Christmas tree was lit and the tasteful interiors was lovely, and even left logs for the log burner, until we purchased some ourselves. The host kindly left us a bottle of wine, mince pies, biscuits and a Christmas card. The location is great as you can walk over to Thornham and have food either in the Orange Tree or The Lifeboat Inn and don't forget the Deli in Thornham too if you require some food to take back to the cottage. Then you can walk the other way from the cottage to Old Hunstanton and eat at The Lodge. The walks are so lovely and only ten minutes to get to the Holme beach, but I would recommend visiting Holkham beach, Wells-next-the-Sea if you want a lot more going on.

The cottage was beautiful and in the perfect location with the beach being a 5 min walk away. Cromer town centre was 1 min down the road and there were several lovely cafes and a Co-op literally round the corner. The bed was also the most comfy thing I’ve ever slept on, it was honestly divine! My daughter enjoyed the bunk beds in the second bedroom and also complimented them on being extremely comfortable. The only reason for not giving a 5 star on everything was that the stairs are so tightly curved and extremely narrow that I was scared to come down them whilst carrying anything, which made things slightly difficult, but we did get more used to them by the end of the week, lol! Overall, an absolute gem of a holiday cottage and one that we will most definitely be coming back to ??

The Cottage was a perfect place to stay to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The welcome pack and a large carton of milk were a nice touch. Family and friends joined us for our stay and were really impressed with the property. The owners have thought of everything to make sure their visitors have a wonderful stay. The cottage is really well located under an archway just off the quayside and is close to shops, cafes and pubs. I was worried parking would be an issue but we parked at Stearman’s Yard long stay car park just 5 mins walk away at a cost of £8.50 for 24 hours. You can get a weekly ticket if staying longer. I would highly recommend this cottage in the beautiful town of Wells-Next-The-Sea.

A lovely cottage ideally situated for Holt and the beautiful North Norfolk coast. We loved the bird themes around the house, very much in keeping with the name of the property and especially the curtains & lampshades in the bedroom! The cottage is well equipped although the clothes hanging facilities are a little unconventional! If you're expecting a large screened TV you may be disappointed however, it was not high on our priority list! We prefer being outside exploring the local area which certainly has plenty to offer. We were out and about most of the time so did not use the garden or summerhouse. The garden is a short walk from the property and would be a great space to relax especially in the warmer weather. Thank you.

Fantastic stay When we arrived the accommodation was clean and tidy and was winter proofed as we stayed at the beginning of November and the weather was changing. The bed was incredibly comfy and we really enjoyed the hot tub. I think some updated information of what’s near by/local would be nice as there was only a review of a walk was dated from 2019 & the phone signal is a bit iffy to research it once you there. We only had 1 encounter with staff and that was over the phone and the instructions to find our accommodation were really clear as it was completely pitch black when we arrived! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We hope to come back soon.
