Situated at the end of a quiet country lane, this Schull cottage is the perfect choice for a tranquil holiday surrounded by serene countryside and some truly stunning views. This Schull cottage has three bedrooms including a ground floor double complete with an en-suite. Furnished in a characteristic and homely style, this Schull cottage has a welcoming open plan living area with a multi-fuel stove as well as an additional sitting room with a sofa bed. The elevated position makes the most of uninterrupted and panoramic views of the ocean and islands that dot the coastline in this unspoilt landscape. The patio area means fine days can be spent admiring the surroundings, and as this Schull cottage is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, the children can play in complete safety. Take to the waves on one of the fishing excursions or sightseeing tours or just enjoy the sound of the sea at one of the picturesque beaches that punctuate the shore, whilst Derreennatra Pier is near to this Schull cottage, offering places to moor a boat or enjoy swimming. The charming village of Ballydehob is within easy reach, with its restaurants, pubs and cafes. Walkers and hikers will love the scenic routes around Mizen Head or the nearby Sheep's Head Peninsula before stopping at a friendly local tavern where you'll no doubt experience a spot of traditional Irish music! Further afield, the towns of Skibbereen and Bantry offer a wide range of amenities and there are a plethora of beautiful villages along the miles of coastline surrounding this Schull cottage; an excellent choice for your next Irish holiday.

The village of Schull is located in the South West of County Cork, between Ballydehob and Goleen. It offers a number of shops, Irish pubs, and fine restaurants. There is a harbour which is home to a number of boat operators offering fishing trips, wildlife excursions and sightseeing voyages, as well as a sailing club and ferries to nearby islands. There are fine beaches to be enjoyed, such as Barleycove with its golden sands and turquoise waters, and the visitor centre and cliff walks of the Mizen Head, at the very tip of the peninsula are well worth a visit.

The views are to die for, the house itself is remote enough to be interesting but close enough to two centres of 'life' to be comfortable. There were good places to eat and to shop - and Bantry and Skibbereen are close if you really have a yen to see a supermarket! Cork the nearest bit city is a drive away - but only an hour or so if one was in the mood for crowds and city life. In short, we all loved it - aged from 78 to 11 - and would all happily return tomorrow - if work and school did not make it impossible! I highly recommend the place - it is lovely - but don't expect luxury - luxury is not part of the rural idyll and if you want it, then go stay in an hotel!

Micheal is a great host and available to answer any queries should you have any. Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. However the views are spectacular, it is such a stunning location, you can see the Fastnet Lighthouse and Cape Clear and Sherkin Islands. Schull Harbour you can get the Ferry out to the Fastnet lighthouse and Cape Clear, we highly recommend you should do the trip if you get the opportunity. Corr An Droma is a wonderful cottage, and we will definitely return. Stunning location!
