Warm and spacious Villa Zucchero sits within lush, green gardens in an elevated position that overlooks peaceful Lake Como in the San Siro region. Its situation also provides clear views of the mountains beyond the lake, which offer fantastic hiking and cycling opportunities. The lake itself is just 400m away on foot, so you can be swimming in no time.

The villa has a welcoming feel throughout, with outside space that’s just as suited to socialising and unwinding as the traditional yet attractive interior. The tranquil lake and mountain views can be enjoyed both inside and out too. The garden’s beautiful glass conservatory with table and chairs gives you entry to the ground floor of Villa Zucchero.

Here you’ll find a large living room with an inviting and chilled-out atmosphere. The fully-fitted kitchen features a dining table for serving meals with ease, as well as giving direct access to the outside space. There’s also access to a basement, which is practically a self-contained apartment. It has its own living room and even a billiards table, along with a bedroom and a bathroom. Despite being on basement level, it also has direct garden access.

There are another three bedrooms at Villa Zucchero. All are restful spaces for drifting off and enjoying a great night’s sleep, with some also having tranquil lake and mountain views. One has its own en-suite bathroom with shower, with all bedrooms sharing use of the lovely family bathroom.

The villa has several outdoor seating areas for both relaxing and dining. The patio terrace is a great place to sit and soak up your picturesque surroundings. Savour pre-dinner drinks in the glass conservatory before moving into the pergola with impressive lake views for enjoying atmospheric meals. The lawn that surrounds the villa features a raised terrace with sun loungers and a private swimming pool. It’s from here that some of the most spectacular views over the lake can be enjoyed.

Villa Zucchero is the ideal base for experiencing what the San Siro area has to offer. You can walk down to the lake in just five minutes, with boat rental, sailing and windsurfing available in the region, whilst a nearby hamlet with a pizzeria is also a short walk away. If you’re feeling particularly active then you can follow hiking trails from the shore up into the mountains.

Many other villages and towns can be reached via ferry across Lake Como. Must-visit towns within easy reach include Menaggio, which has an extensive golf course and centuries of history to discover.Within five minutes of leaving Villa Zucchero you could be swimming in calm Lake Como. Also just a short walk away is a hamlet with a pizzeria and a bus stop for getting you out and about in the local area.

The immediate area has a timeless and traditional feel, with one of the area’s most impressive historical buildings just a five-minute walk away.
