    Mrs Saunders – 24 Apr 2021
"Little Irish is a beautiful little cottage for a peaceful get away. In a remote spot on top of the moor with lovely far reaching views of the Camel Estuary . Excellent for waking and exploring north and south. The cottage is beautifully equipped, spotlessly clean and we had a superb welcome from the owners on arrival . "
    Mrs Angie Donnerstag-Reeve – 28 Sep 2020
"Little Irish is located in a most stunning area of Bodmin Moor. The cottage itself is fabulous & has a lovely light contemporary feel to it with a super garden overlooking beautiful countryside. Dawn and Gerry the owners have furnished the cottage so thoughtfully and equipped it with everything that you may require whilst on holiday. There are so many wonderful places both near and far to explore. It truly was perfect in every way and we will definitely return."
    Mrs Louise Rosier – 13 Mar 2020
"Brilliant cottage, lovely setting. Really homey and the scones and eggs so kind! Lilly our puppy had a great time. Couldn’t recommend this cottage enough ! We will definitely be back."
    Mr M Rodgers – 2 Mar 2020
"The relatively remote ‘Little Irish’ sits on the beautiful, exposed and rugged Bodmin Moor just outside St Breward. The property offers extensive and scenic moorland views direct from the lounge! Gerry and Dawn have done an outstanding job in converting the old barn into a comfy, welcoming, well equipped holiday rental. If you want a peaceful and secluded break, this is the place..and we loved it! Little Irish has an open plan lounge/diner and kitchen with everything you will need. Had we been there in summertime and not February we would certainly have utilised the enclosed garden adjacent to the barn for BBQ’s in this idyllic setting. The bedroom has a particularly comfy bed, TV and a well appointed en suite with a good shower. Paddy, the dog welcomed our mad hound like a long lost friend and they were soon to be found playing chase in Gerry and Dawn’s field with the hens looking on in admiration. Our excellent hosts furnished us with all the necessary information we required-like the best eateries (and there are plenty) and walking options -without ever being intrusive. The scones, jam and clotted cream as well as tasty free range eggs they provided were excellent. Little Irish is ideally placed for walking near the coast, moors, woods or cycling the Camel Trail. Wenford Bridge (where the trail starts at its southern end) is a short drive away. We were able to easily get to our favourite North Coast haunts of Wadebridge, Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Rock and Trebarwith Strand. We were also pleased to be able to head south through Bodmin to the South Cornwall Coast too. We have stayed in a good number of properties over the years in North Cornwall and this undoubtedly was one of our favourites. "
    Mr Sebastian Kostrubala
"Cosy and very well equipped cottage in very quiet location with great landscapes around. Super dark night sky, perfect for astrophotographers. Very friendly and welcoming hosts."
    Mrs Rona McGowan
"We had a lovely stay, the cottage was ideal for what we wanted from our week away. The furnishings and decor was excellent, big comfy bed, lovely warm rain shower and a great sofa for relaxing in the evening. Everything was thought of from blankets to snuggle with to interesting books to read and jigsaws and games to keep us entertained (the Padstow one had us beat, we didn't complete it in the week hehehehe!) The location is different from what we've tried before in Cornwall but this was great as we found things and places we hadn't yet discovered. Having a log burner was a little bit of luxury for staying when the weather was not that reliable. An enclosed garden was great for the dog, she loved getting comfy and warm after our long walks, the property was dog friendly. The owners of the property were friendly and very kind, kept us supplied with logs, fresh eggs and a fabulous welcome cream tea."
    Miss Nicola Bates
"Little Irish is an absolute gem. Finished to an excellent standard, the property is well-equipped and lovingly decorated. We had the best week exploring the area and loved returning each evening to the peace and chill of Little Irish. Dawn and Gerry were unintrusive, warm and welcoming hosts - helpful, friendly and generous with their excellent scones and eggs! Perfect location for our dog Tilly, who had an absolute whale of a time chasing around with Paddy the dog & after the chickens! We would love to return soon. Thank you for a gorgeous stay! Nicola, Chris & Tilly "
    Miss Gemma Dore
"Little Irish is an absolute Gem! If you love a good walk on the Moor, there is surely no better location! A nice 20 minute walk takes you to the village with a good pub & little shop and it’s not much of a drive to get to loads of other great destinations. The property is beautifully appointed and the garden is amazing, we had breakfast out there most mornings. Gerry and Dawn couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating, especially of our mischievous beagles! We will be back! "
    Mrs K Skutans
"Cottage was lovely, fantastic garden and good location - owners very nice too (scones on arrival was very welcome). Would absolutely visit again!"
    Ms Emma Tomkinson
"Little Irish is a lovely cottage in an amazing location. Spotlessly clean, modern decor, cosy, compact but with everything we needed. Amazing views over Bodmin Moor from the garden. Fabulous sunsets, and perfect for star gazing. We were made very welcome by the owners who live in the farmhouse next door - scones with clotted cream and jam as well as fresh eggs from the resident chickens awaited our arrival. Perfect!"
    Mrs Ann-Marie Kneller
"Lovely little property with hosts that live on site. Spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome card and cream tea on arrival. Great location, only 20 minutes from either A30 or A39. Plenty of places to visit in local area: Camel Trail, Camel Valley Vineyard, Cardinham Woods, Lanhydrock, Snails Pace Cafe, Pencarrow House. 40 minutes to Padstow, 20 minutes to Wadebridge."
    Mr Chris Dewhurst
"Very comfortable and well appointed in a wonderful location. Very friendly and efficient service. Most important, I found a property that suited my purpose at a very reasonable price"
    Mr & Mrs Michael Harding
    "Absolutely gorgeous cottage!"
    Mrs Sarah George
"Cornish Horizons were very professional and helpful. We stayed at Little Irish in Bodmin Moor. Delightful converted cowshed with very modern fixtures and fittings and extremely comfortable. Parking right outside and fantastic views. Located on a private farm so very peaceful, almost silent. Had the best nights sleep in ages! Dunes locally in the Old Inn in St Breward. Delicious food and extensive menu. Also ate at Jamaica a Inn which is only a 25 minute drive away. Some of the best walks in Cornwall only a stones throw away. Fantastic holiday. "
    Mr Peter Barlow
"Nice property with beautiful remote location. Spent a very enjoyable week there despite the weather but the hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended!"
    Mrs Sonia Hale
"My husband and I and our Yorkshire Terrier thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Irish. The cottage was well appointed. We had a very relaxing week and arrived home well rested. If we holiday in that area again we would definitely book Little Irish."

    Mrs Jo Rohman-Johnson
"We had a brilliant time at Little Irish. It was a peaceful place tucked away on Bodmin moor and surrounded by wildlife. Perfect to explore North Cornwall, another fantastic Cornish holiday, we’ll definitely be back! "
    Mrs Carrie Lee-Falcon
"An excellent property- very well maintained and a fabulous location!"
    Mr ANDRE Chamberlain
"The property is an outstanding hideaway and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves."
    Mr Rimell
"Perfect escape from our normal pressured world! Fabulous accommodation and the views from the property are stunning whatever the weather. Great just to go out the front gate with our dog and head out onto the moor in any direction that took our fancy. With a great pub/inn up the road and the Camel trail a few minutes' drive away it could hardly be more perfect. Will we come again? You bet!"
