This pretty detached stone built cottage is tucked peacefully away in an idyllic location on the banks of the river Yeo. Close to Exmoor National Park, yet a just short drive from the coast, Primrose Cottage is the perfect spot for a peaceful, rural getaway. Inside, you're welcomed by a warm and friendly ambience. Split level, head into the open-plan living area which features comfy sofas, an oak raftered ceiling open to the apex and a cosy wood burning stove. Three steps lead down to the newly fitted kitchen where you'll find and everything you need to prepare delicious meals. After a long day exploring, you can unwind in the smart shower room where you'll find a decadent freestanding bathtub. Take a long soak before retiring to the king-size double bedroom which looks over the garden and where you'll hear only the sound of the river flowing nearby. Outside the garden is simply enchanting, filled with mature fruit trees and bordered by the river, there is no nicer spot to sit and simply listen to the bees and the birds. If you can tear yourself away, why not visit the nearby National Trust property Arlington Court, a great country house with acres of parkland to meander. Exmoor National Park offers endless opportunities for walkers, cyclists and wildlife seekers whilst nearby Barnstaple provides plenty of shops, parks and a museum. Barnstaple is also the first stop on The Tarka Line, famed for its good picturesque views and real ale pubs at most stations. This also marks the beginning of the Tarka Trail, a fabulous mainly level cycling route. For beach lovers, you're just 30 minutes away from some of the region’s best beaches such as Croyde and Saunton Sands. With so much to see and do nearby, Primrose Cottage will provide you with happy memories for years to come.
