Perfectly named. Had a lovely relaxing week. Warm and comfortable. Village shop and newsagent about a 10 minute walk (elderly dog). Morrisons about a 5-10 minute drive, depending on traffic. Close to Appledore, Bideford and Westward Ho! The beach and Northam Burrows lovely for the dog and general walking. Only slight inconvenience was having to stand on the road to smoke, however the upside was I smoked less. The shower being over the bath may be difficult if you are unsteady on your legs, but there are grab rails. Being able to park to unpack and pack without worrying about the dog getting out was ideal. The late check in and early check out did not cause us any concern and the cottage was spotless. Would consider again as this would be lovely in the spring/summer although it may be a little busy when visiting the villages and beaches.

Superb little cottage close to the seaside, well equipped and the host was very informative. Lots to do and see lovely places to eat.

A small annexe located in northam, very few amenities nearby, a costcutter and a very run down pub that no longer serves food, also one restaurant which we didn't use. Westwood ho and Appledore have more to offer ànd only a mile walk away, however these are both downhill and the walk back to the top of the hill after a meal and a drink is not recommended, we used silverline taxis in Westwood ho for a fiver home well worth it! And dog freindly. We were disappointed with the arrival and exit times set by cottages 5 in 9 out (we left the afternoon before for a less frantic exit). Supposedly for extra covid clean. I've never seen so many cobwebs in one's room! And ledges also not dusted. Also the mattress was very uncomfortable. All of the items needed to cook a meal were there and off road parking. Lady owner next door was very pleasant. Wont be somewhere ill return to.
