This wonderful, charming, Grade ll listed detached cottage sits in the stunning hamlet of Dalbury which has a handful of houses, farms and a church. Rectory Cottage boasts superb, picturesque rural views as far as the eye can see and is the ideal base for a host of things to do, or simply just relax in the wonderful surroundings. This lovely property features a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy sitting room and two bedrooms. There is also a delightful garden, ideal for a relaxing BBQ or for enjoying the views towards the surrounding fields. In the midst of fabulous countryside, the friendly village Dalbury offers walkers and cyclists beautiful scenic routes. Antique hunters are well catered for with the many fine stores at nearby Ashbourne, home to quaint cobbled streets and a variety of pubs and restaurants. More locally several pubs/restaurants are 10 minutes away and a local antique saleroom featured on TV the same. Idyllic Dovedale is a short drive away. There are miles of way-marked paths to explore on foot, or the traffic-free cycle route, the Tissington Trail. Outdoor and water sports enthusiasts are spoilt for choice at nearby Carsington Water or closer Mercia Marina or enjoy the thrills and spills of Alton Towers or Donington Park. The attractive market town of Bakewell and elegant Chatsworth House are within easy reach, and this is a superb location to be enjoyed at any time of year. Also within easy reach are several National Trust properties the nearest, Kedleston Hall, being within 20 minutes.
