This heart-warming semi-detached cottage is situated in the village of Scalford in Leicestershire, with a homely interior perfect for you and your loved ones. Whether you are planning a romantic break or a holiday with the family, this retreat offers a comfortable base to begin your getaway in style. The kitchen has been modernised with a breakfast bar, ideal for a warm drink in the early hours before heading out on your adventures. A charming dining room is elevated by a woodburner, tucked away into a characterful fireplace, for a cosy evening. The lounge is home to an L shape sofa and also benefits from a woodburner which continues your snug night, in a wonderful fashion. Three bedrooms are available for you to choose from, each complete to a delightful standard with warm coloured wooden flooring and décor. Close by, a family bathroom is finished with neat fittings containing a bath with a shower over for a classic finish. Spend some time exploring the village, surrounded by rural farmland and many footpaths where you may discover architectural remnants of a disused railway line among the fields. Take a stroll around the pretty church, or sit in front of a log fire in the the cosy pub just over the road serving hand raised pies among other delights. Scalford retains a collection of amenities and embraces a good community spirit. You will feel right at home. Oakham is worth a visit, whilst Stamford can be easily accessed for its magnificent Georgian architecture, niche shopping as well as beautiful riverside meadows. A pleasant cottage, not to be missed.

The village hall is surrounded by a playing field and hosts many community events. Scalford is also equidistant between Leicester and Nottingham, whilst Grantham is a short journey on the A607.

Tucked away in a serene countryside village, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cottage itself was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure maximum comfort. The cottage is airy and spacious and a perfect place to unwind and relax. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits was a lovely touch. Communication was excellent, the housekeeper, Keri kept in touch prior to arrival and on the day of departure. The pub opposite is an added bonus, very welcoming and lovely place to relax with a drink after arriving. We look forward to returning in the future!

Cottage was very lovely and it was a great stay over the christmas period only two things that could improve was hand washer for the bathrooms and some dish washer tables thanks for making it wonderful for my family
