Dating from the early 19th century, The Millstream, is a stone-built, former water-driven cotton mill, now lovingly restored into a delightful three-bedroom holiday home, spread over three floors. The Bistro at Underscar just along the lane, welcomes non-members for spa treatments, lunches and evening meals. The Pheasant Inn at Crossthwaite, which offers great food is just over a mile away. Sleeps seven and is ideal for family group or couples holidaying together.
The main entrance to the house is from the parking area and garden, at the top level of this three- floor house. Walk into the entrance lobby and store your outdoor gear before stepping into your charming and comfortable sitting room with a striking open fireplace and natural light pouring through the windows, creating a restful and warming ambience. Also, on this floor is a spacious twin bedroom with TV and additional hi-sleeper platform bed. Walk downstairs to the middle floor where you will find two lovely bedrooms: a master double bedroom with king size bed and wash basin with en-suite shower room. a double bedroom with king size bed and wash basin. You will also find a modern family bathroom on this floor. A door giving access to the courtyard lies nearby.
Walk down again to the lowest floor to discover the heart of the house, a delightful and spacious family room and kitchen, and start to imagine memorable family meals and lazy breakfasts. A cosy seating area to one end has a large comfortable sofa, enticing rocking chair and coffee table. A lovely seating area is located on the gallery overlooking the kitchen, perfect for escaping with a book. The backdoor from here lead to the outside steps. There is a very useful utility room off the kitchen for laundry, tumble dryer and hanging rail and another washroom.
