This delightful cottage built in the 1770s, is situated in a conservation village designed by the renowned architect Robert Adam for the 1st Earl of Lonsdale. This holiday escape is only 5 miles from the market town of Penrith, where you will find a nice selection of restaurants, independent shops and cafes. Enjoy a day out rambling or visit Ullswater s Pooley Bridge (5.5 miles). Take a peaceful walk along its shores and visit the awe inspiring Aira Force Waterfall (12 miles). Attempt the impressive fell of Helvellyn (13.5 miles); a stunning peak to satisfy even the expert hiker. You may prefer to explore the quieter Eden Valley on your doorstep, or Lowther Castle and Gardens, only a mile away, where there is a fabulous adventure playground and a lovely tearoom.
