Nicely out of the way and gives you the opportunity to avoid the bustle of the bigger towns whilst being close enough to both Keswick and Penrith to be able to easily take advantage of the facilities. We had a minor issue with the cottage heating not working initially, but the owner contacted an engineer and it was up and running again within a couple of hours. Fantastic service - can't ask for better. As others have commented, you can just about hear people in the above accommodation moving around, but if that keeps you awake at night, you're either a very light sleeper or the upstairs guests are grey with big ears and have recently flown in from the Savanna. The cottage is well equipped and the dishwasher was a pleasant surprise. Very comfortable bed (although this is always going to be a personal preference) and nice furnishings. The log burner was toasty on the wet February evenings. Would definitely sent it again!

You can hear the people above but it didnât bother us. The garden was a great addition on the fabulous sunny days we had. Watching the buzzards on an afternoon was lovely. The cottage was bigger than we expected and had everything we needed.
