Located in a quiet part of the park, but still within easy reach of the on-site facilities, such as an indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a sauna, this lodge is just a five-minute walk to the shores of the prominent lake. Beautiful views stretch across to the Langdale Pikes and Latterbarrow, making this a perfect place to sit on the banks and admire the sunset at the end of your day. The holiday park also boasts an outdoor play centre, a multi-use games court, restaurant and bar, hosting live entertainment during the summer months, as well as a convenient shop and laundry facility. The pretty town of Ambleside sitting at the top of Lake Windermere, is just a short drive away, introducing some excellent restaurants and cafes. Kirkstone Pass is on the doorstep and leads through magnificent scenery past Ullswater and the pretty lakeside villages of Glenridding and Pooley Bridge. With plenty of nearby activities to entice you, and excellent leisure facilities on-site to come home to, this Windermere log cabin is the perfect base for the whole family, all-year-round.

Troutbeck Bridge is nestled close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. It is made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, along with a popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Great location on the site, but also Ambleside and Windermere/Bowness can be reached very quickly either by car or on the bus. We had a great time andcwill be using Sykes again and would happily return to 4 Skiptory Howe.

Floor had not been cleaned, furniture and paintwork dirty, hole in bath filled with polyfilla, boiler hadn't been serviced either according to paperwork. Just because we have dogs doesn't mean we don't want cleanliness!

It was just as expected if not better. Didn't want to leave and will definitely be booking again.
