High Borrans Dell is a beautifully presented 1 bedroom holiday lodge at High Borrans farm near Windermere in a tranquil setting of 7 lodges, away from the farmyard. The lodge offers a charming and welcoming retreat with a traditional log cabin feel – the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. The open plan living and dining area is modern and cosy with focal electric log effect fire and patio doors opening on to the front deck with patio furniture and wide open views, great for a morning cuppa or evening sundowner. The lodge sleeps 2 and is perfect for couples only (sorry, no children or infants) and welcomes Two dogs. High Borrans is a select development of 7 one-bedroom luxury lodges and a Shepherd’s Hut, just for adults, and some are dog-friendly, set in a secluded rural location alongside a working farm. This lovely spot is just three miles from the heart of Windermere, close to the main central lakes attractions, and you can set off on a walk or bike ride from your front door- as the Cumbria Way passes through the farm. It’s the perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment you leave the main road and head towards High Borrans, you will sense peace and tranquillity of the area, driving down the country lane, through the traditional working farmyard and on through to the lodges. This is a quiet farm with no onsite facilities other than laundry and e-bike hire. As this is a working farm please keep your dog under close control. High Borrans Dell is a wonderful place to make your home for a few days and completely relax.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
