About this property

Sunny Brow Lodge is a modern holiday lodge in the stunning Lakeside area of White Cross Bay. This lodge has a bright and spacious living area which makes it a favourite with families or couples looking to explore the Lake District. From the open plan living area, the double patio doors lead to the decking area where outdoor seating and a hot tub is located so you can enjoy the beautiful views in style. Three bedrooms and a family bathroom can be found at the back of the lodge where you can settle down for a relaxing nights sleep. White Cross Bay sits on the shores of Lake Windermere, with the lovely marina straight ahead of you and boats bobbing around. Head down to the jetties where you can watch the cruisers sail by, enjoy the breeze and the fantastic views. There is a pool, club house and small shop on the site too. Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, entertainment, bar and restaurant. Coming out of White Cross Bay park entrance and turning left then 500 yards up the main road is Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, where you could easily spend a day, enjoying gardens, house, café, restaurant, walks, boats, adventure playground and Tree Top Trek. You’re also just two miles from Windermere village and three miles from Bowness-on-Windermere. Three miles in the other direction, head to Ambleside, another bustling town with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and of course, walks in every direction. The Lake District is all about making special memories with your loved ones.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. ! Bedrooms and storage were so much bigger than other lodges we have stayed in, so that was a treat! Even the small room wasn’t that small! Lovely bedding and beds (which makes a difference!), having plenty of seats in the living room and being dog friendly was a big plus for us! The hot tub was beautiful and hot, and the view was so lovely, we all felt really relaxed. Completely recommend this lodge! I think it has a new boiler too so it was nice and warm as it was quite cold and wet the week we visited - enough hot water for all 6 of us and hot tub occasions! Someone came out whilst we were there to check the hot tub which gives you peace of mind too. I did leave a note to the cleaners before we left to say the hoover wasn’t picking up very well - might need a service or a new one - especially when you welcome dogs, it’s nice for the visitors to keep on top of it.

Was very clean and lovely decor. Just one real negative that was put on the holiday was, there wasn’t consistent running hot water for 6 of us. We managed two showers then the water went freezing. Had someone to come out twice to look at it and it still did the same thing. Wasn’t ideal when there was 6 of us wanting to shower and clean ourselves after using the hot tub.

Lodge had everything we needed and beds were comfy. We arrived at 5pm to find nobody on reception and nobody answered the out of hours mobile number so we had real difficulty getting the gate code, luckily we saw somebody walking by who could give us this so do be aware of that if checking in after 5pm.
