Sunnyside Farm is a well-regarded cottage in a tranquil Cumbria location, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and secure garden ideal for dogs. The property offers a peaceful stay with lovely views and is well-positioned for exploring Grange and the Lake District. While some guests suggested improvements, the overall experience is positive, with the property providing a comfortable and enjoyable holiday base.
The property consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as clean, well-maintained, and spotless. This suggests a high standard of hygiene and care.
The location is described as tranquil, quiet, and peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and views. It is well-positioned for days out, although some guests noted a lack of nearby walks and the remote nature of the property.
Guests find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and a cosy kitchen diner. However, some noted the lack of a downstairs toilet and restrictions on where dogs are allowed as minor discomforts.
The facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, there are comments about the need for minor repairs, updates to furniture, and the provision of additional amenities like games and night lights.

Today, visitors may enjoy a traffic-free promenade, lovely ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band performances, and outstanding birdwatching in the town. Lake Windermere (8 miles away), the charming villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, and Cartmel, the birthplace of sticky toffee pudding and home to the L'Enclume restaurant, the UK's fourth-best restaurant, are all within easy driving distance. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house.
