Loved the homeliness of the cottage and in particular the view we awoke to each morning from the bedroom window. The bed was very comfortable with nice crisp bedding. The view from the green of the distant Old Man Coniston etc. and the fact that all of the south lakes was easily accessible by car.

The cottage was great. The location was perfect for us, far enough out to feel remote yet everywhere we wanted to go was within a 20 minute drive. It was exceptionally clean, which was something we both commented on when we arrived. I have noticed previous comments about some of the decor being a little dated but for us that added to the charm. Everything in the cottage has been well looked after, therefore, it really didn't matter. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The cottage is so quiet and peaceful. It's in an area with very little light pollution, which added to the tranquility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it instantly felt like home. I would definitely stay again, in fact we both said we would happily live there.
