For a change of pace, visit the medieval city of Norwich with its splendid Norman Castle, numerous museums, galleries and theatres, and great placed to eat, drink and shop including the award-winning market and the twisty Lanes. Take the Bure Valley Railway from the nearby market town of Aylsham and travel across open countryside. Head to Sheringham and hop on the North Norfolk steam railway. Make time to visit the Georgina town of Holt with its pretty buildings and artisan places to eat, drink shop and just potter.
