A cosy and characterful property in the charming village of Syderstone, this two-bed home is fantastic for a couple or family. You’ll be in a remote spot with the nearest shop 3 miles away and the closest pub 4.5 miles away. Wildlife enthusiasts will love exploring local sites like the Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve (6 miles), while culture vultures will love checking out Bircham Windmill (4.4 miles) and Houghton Hall & Gardens.
This traditional Norfolk cottage features a quintessential brick-and-flint exterior, so you’ll certainly get an authentic experience. Inside, it’s been beautifully renovated to a high standard, with respect for its original features – think beamed ceilings, latched doors and a brick fireplace in the lounge. Relax with loved ones by the traditional wood burner and pop on the Smart TV after a day of adventure. The well-equipped kitchen includes Nespresso coffee machine so you can start each day with a tasty brew. Regarding bedrooms, you’ll have an en-suite bunk room on the ground floor (for children), with a delightful en-suite double upstairs, accessible via a cottage-style staircase with a gate. There’s space for outdoor relaxation, too – a dog-proof garden with a table, chairs and summer house.
You’ll find plenty to do nearby – Syderstone Common (1 mile) is a haven for dog walking and wildlife watching (NB dogs should stay on short leads March-July because of nesting birds). RSPB reserves at Snettisham (12.5 miles) and Titchwell Marsh (11 miles) offer beautiful landscapes and abundant birdlife. Hikers will be keen to join the Norfolk Coast Path (11 miles) to explore trails taking in wide beaches, sand dunes, salt and freshwater marshes – and fantastic views.
