Situated near to the seafront in the seaside village of Blakeney, this property is in the perfect location for those who want to enjoy a relaxed holiday on the coast. Once a bustling harbour, the village s quay is now mainly used for boat trips which take visitors across to the nature reserve of Blakeney Point, home to a seal colony and a vast range of seabirds. The beach in the village is a shingled one which is really best for enjoying scenic walks, however those looking for a sandy beach to spend the day at are spoilt for choice as there are a number in the local area, including those at Wells next the Sea and Holkham Bay which are both situated within 10 miles of Blakeney. Stepping inside this property for the first time guests will love the authentic feel that has been retained by the owners who have succeed in creating a stylish holiday retreat whilst honouring the history of this traditional fishermen s cottage. The ground floor is occupied entirely by the open plan living area comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner, an attractive room with wooden floor boards and a warming wood burner in the fireplace. The furniture has been well chosen to complement the period of the cottage, whilst there is also a good range of contemporary equipment and appliances to help guests to enjoy their stay, including a TV/DVD and iPod dock. The kitchen area, in the corner of the room is also well equipped offering an oven, hob, microwave, and a Nespresso coffee machine. Steep, cottage style stairs lead up to the bedroom on the first floor, a well presented room with an iron framed bed and antique furnishings. The bathroom is also situated on the first floor of the property and offers a shower over bath and WC. Guests staying at the property enjoy access to a shared courtyard garden within which the cottage has its own space with a table and chairs, making it ideal for enjoying alfresco drinks or dining. There is parking available locally on the quay front or in the nearby village hall car park which is free of charge. Need to know: 1 double bedroom. 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
