Inside, you’ll find a bijou bolthole with whitewashed walls, exposed woodwork, and homely touches throughout. A steep, open-tread staircase leads to the king-size bedroom, set under a low, sloping roof and a skylight that’s perfectly placed for stargazing from the bed. Outside, soak up the sunshine in the small, enclosed courtyard during a coffee break or al fresco meal.

Step back in time on a walk around the village, admiring the pretty flint cottages and historic buildings. Pop into the art galleries and gift shops to pick up a souvenir from your holiday, before sampling the local seafood in one of the inviting pubs or restaurants. From the quay, boat trips run to Blakeney Point where you can marvel at the largest seal colony in England. As expected, the walking and wildlife spotting opportunities in the area are endless, whether you head to the nature reserve, stride out across the saltmarshes, or embark on a hike along the Norfolk Coast Path.
