Bursting with wonderful, charming original features, this traditional thatched cottage epitomises peace and tranquillity, featuring plenty of outside space for you to soak up your coastal surroundings and four-legged friends to explore.
Leave your walking boots at the front door to hunker down for the evening in the charmingly quaint living room and soothe tired walking muscles by relaxing on one of the comfy sofas and admiring the rich heritage of the cottage through its gorgeous exposed ceiling beams and original brick floor. Step through to the traditional farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to rustle up a delicious meal with all the wonderful local produce you’ve collected. As day turns to night, wind your way up the rustic cottage staircase to find two spacious adjoining bedrooms underneath the eaves of the cottage with more beautiful exposed beams to admire. Invite the outside in by throwing open the patio doors at the rear of the cottage to dine alfresco on the compact patio, made private by some mature borders. Beyond the patio, there’s a lovely long lawn that children and four-legged friends will adore exploring.
Lying on the Norfolk coast between Cromer and Great Yarmouth, the friendly seaside village of Bacton is known for its quiet sandy beach offering miles of long walking trails up and down the coast along the shoreline and cliffs. Grab your hiking boots or two wheels and join up with the magical England Coast Path that passes through the village or join the Paston Way walking path that links Cromer and North Walsham to discover the area’s beautiful medieval churches and magical clifftop views of the coastline. Cromer (11 miles) and Sheringham (16 miles) offer a fantastic selection of shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as wonderful sandy stretches and quintessentially seaside amusements for you to discover.
