Elm Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities, making it a relaxing and homely stay. The enclosed gardens are appreciated by dog owners, and the property's location is ideal for local walks and visiting nearby attractions. Some minor issues with the downstairs shower size and lack of welcome pack are noted, but overall guests are very satisfied and would recommend the cottage.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a key positive aspect. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment contributes to the high score.
The location is well-regarded for its proximity to local amenities, country and riverside walks, and ease of parking. While some guests were disappointed with the local pub situation, the overall convenience and setting in the village are appreciated.
Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the beds comfy and the cottage warm and cosy. The property provides a peaceful atmosphere, although there are some comments about the compactness of the downstairs shower and the brightness from street lamps at night.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage being well-appointed and equipped. However, there are remarks about the need for redecoration and suggestions for improvements such as a wet room conversion and blackout blinds, which slightly affect the score.
