Park off-road and settle down in a homely sitting room, where a woodburning stove warms your feet from within a traditional bare brick fireplace, and you can take one of the selection of books and relax in a stylish sofa. When mealtimes call, this property has a lovely kitchen/diner with a homely cottage feel, fitted with loads of amenities and with plenty of space for cooking together as a family, and here you will also find a dining table and glass double doors leading outside into a pretty patio surrounded by mature trees, a fantastic spot for alfresco dining. Budle Bay is a lovely location just outside of the historic town of Bamburgh, and here you can enjoy countryside walks and spend a day at the beach, enjoying stunning coastal views and maybe even trying out watersports. For a hot meal or to stock upon essentials, head over to Bamburgh, and visit the town centre where there is a selection of eateries and make the most of a visit to the stunning Bamburgh Castle. Explore the wonders of the Northumberland coast with a stay at Dunlin Cottage.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

Great that the owner gave an over view on the history of the cottage and the area. Cleaning not to a professional cleaning standard. Informed the owner and sent photos. I was informed of some items that was going to be replaced by him. Happy with owner contacting me whilst I was there. Great for dogs with secure area.

How great it is to find a dog friendly cottage with a perfect garden for them to let off steam. There was nothing that we were short of as the cottage was very well equipped. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property for a relaxing and dog friendly break.

Kitchen - extractor fan not working, several cracked floor tiles, damaged worktop next to hob which is unhygienic, the door to the hall can't be closed securely and the unit plinths were displaced. Hall - broken pest controller which suggests the property has had an issue with mice. Bathroom - broken bath panel. Living room - balls of dog hair left under the coffee table, dead flies inside all the picture frames. Garden - pails and buckets of stagnant water and general garden cuttings left giving a very untidy appearance. General - surfaces had not been dusted and there were lots of cobwebs and items from previous guests left under the bed. We left the property two days early and do not consider it to have been value for money and therefore will not return or consider recommending it to anyone else. We did not contact you at the time because we were there for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and did not want that interrupted.
