About this property

Get away from it all in this attractive holiday home in the peaceful, rural hamlet of Tughall Steads, just 3 miles from the Northumberland coast. The pet-friendly property welcomes six guests and boasts a roaring wood burner and a pretty outdoor space to enjoy in the summer months. Just 3 miles away is Beadnell Bay, where you’ll find a sandy, horseshoe-shaped beach that’s popular with bathers and water sports enthusiasts. The village of Beadnell has some lovely eateries and a traditional pub, and there are fabulous walks to explore from the village along the Northumberland Coast Path. History enthusiasts will be in their element, with historic sites such as Alnwick Castle (11 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (7.5 miles) within easy reach. The idyllic fishing village of Seahouses (5 miles) makes a great day out, and from here you can board a boat trip to visit the wildlife-rich Farne Islands.

Before heading into this delightful barn conversion, take a moment to soak in the surrounding scenery, with far-reaching views of the quiet countryside. Step inside to find that the rural charm continues in the form of vaulted ceilings which combine with calming tones and modern, homely comforts. Be greeted by the fantastic kitchen/diner, a spacious and well-appointed room with all the amenities needed to cook up a Northumberland feast for your loved ones. Eat around the farmhouse-style dining table or dine alfresco outside on the patio when the weather permits. Afterward, let stomachs settle by stepping down into the sumptuous lounge where you’ll find more neutral decor as well as two inviting sofas arranged around a Smart TV and a crackling wood burner. Enjoy cosy movie nights in here together, and when it’s time to retire, choose from three tastefully decorated bedrooms, the first of which is on the ground floor. This bedroom boasts a king-size bed and is served by a well-equipped family shower room via a step up. Upstairs, you’ll find the remaining two bedrooms, a large twin and another king-size, both of which nestle under the eaves of the house. A beautiful shower room with a spacious walk-in shower completes the interior.

Outside, via a step from the kitchen area, discover an enclosed patio garden with bench seating and furniture for al fresco dining. Unwind out here on balmy days, soaking in the rural scenery as you sip on evening tipples. Guests will also find private parking for two cars.
