Willow Cottage is a pretty, modern detached holiday home all on one level conveniently located with easy access to the A1 for travelling around all of Northumberland. It has been voted the best county to visit in the British Tourism Awards in 2018, with its diverse landscape of golden sands, moors, hills and valleys, there really is something for all age groups. Set in the owner’s grounds with a private seating area overlooking the fields to the rear, Willow Cottage is only 100 yards to the local farm shop with a lovely café and plenty of local produce to buy, including the award-winning butcher sausages. You can visit the animals on site too and even the adults love to do this while picking up your fresh eggs for breakfast. The cottage was completed in 2019 and has lots to offer the visitors in way of comfort including a cosy wood burner and large Smart TV.

The historic town on Morpeth is only 4½ miles with plenty of shops, cafés and pubs, a pretty Edwardian shopping centre and a leisure centre. Alnwick Castle is 24 miles away and is easily accessed from the A1, where you can see the Harry Potter tributes and discover the Duke of Northumberland’s home. Follow further up the coast and discover some of the pretty fishing villages, golden beaches and sprinkling of castles and ruins.

The vibrant city of Newcastle is only 13 miles away with the fabulous quayside and wonderful architecture throughout the city. Hadrian’s Wall’s nearest Roman fort is The Chesters, which is only 31 miles from the cottage. Further south is Whitley Bay and Tynemouth, both worth a visit for the beautiful promenade and Spanish City, seafood cafés and bistros. Willow Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the whole of the county in all directions. Newcastle Airport is only 9½ miles away. Beach 9¾ miles. Shop 100 yards, pub 1¾ miles and restaurant ¼ mile.
