There are miles of sandy beach less than a mile away for everyone to enjoy including the family pet, lots of sporting activities including kite-surfing, and along the promenade there is a public slip way for launching your own boat. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby including a Chinese restaurant. Also worth a visit is the interesting Dock Museum with a park for the children, and a cafe. Walney is a great holiday location with something for everyone. Shop 100 yards, pub 200 yards and restaurant ¾ mile.
