About this property

A sympathetically restored barn conversion with cleverly designed living accommodation and a bedroom on each floor, along with a ground floor family bathroom and a first floor en-suite shower room. The airy open plan living area has a compact kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with toasty woodburning stove to nestle beside, whilst on warm occasions, guests can open the French doors onto the patio where views stretch over the Nent Valley. Note: This property is connected to Ref. 918695, together they sleep 10.

Alston is set in the North Pennines in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by a unique landscape of moorland, hills, rivers and waterfalls, and is England's highest market town. There's a host of unusual shops in the town including quality crafts and galleries. Take a ride on one of the lovingly-restored steam and diesel engines through the beautiful scenery of the South Tyne valley on the South Tynedale Railway.

Thank you Diane and Dick. The Christmas touch was very much appreciated. Likewise, the fresh bread, homemade jams, fresh eggs and not to mention the Christmas cake were all truly wonderful. Our little fury friends enjoyed their stay too and were probably grateful the snow kept its distance.
