The popular picturesque Victorian town of Grange Over Sands is also close at hand and boasts a range of leisure and shopping facilities as well as its wonderful ornamental gardens to explore. Walkers can enjoy magnificent coastal walks around the Cartmel Peninsula (3.5 miles), Humphrey Head (2 miles) and many more. Other great places to visit are Ulverston (13 miles), Hawkshead (16 miles), Bowness On Windermere (16 miles) or Coniston (20.5 miles).
